Fifth Grade
Curriculum at a Glance
Students in fifth grade receive instruction in Religion, English Language Arts, Reading/Literature, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Health. Weekly classes in Art, Music, Technology, Spanish, and Physical Education provide additional opportunities for learning and enrichment. Classes are taught through a combination of homeroom (self-contained) and departmental instruction.
The fifth-grade curriculum challenges students to think critically, communicate effectively, and grow as independent learners. In Religion, students deepen their knowledge of the Catholic faith through the study of Scripture, Church teachings, prayer, and service. Throughout all subject areas, students are encouraged to live Gospel values and develop respect, responsibility, and compassion for others. Technology, financial literacy, and social-emotional learning are integrated across the curriculum to support academic and personal growth.
