Fourth Grade

Curriculum at a Glance

Students in fourth grade receive instruction in Religion, English Language Arts, Reading/Literature, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish and Health. As required by the State of Ohio, fourth-grade students study Early Ohio and U.S. History, with a strong focus on Ohio’s past, including early Native American cultures, the Northwest Territory, and Ohio’s path to statehood. Through Religion, students learn how faith, values, and service have shaped communities throughout history and how they can live out Gospel values in their own lives.

They also participate in weekly classes in Art, Music, Spanish, Technology, and Physical Education.

Classes are taught through a combination of homeroom (self-contained) and departmental instruction, providing students with a well-rounded and engaging learning experience.
