Third Grade
Curriculum at a Glance
Students in third grade receive instruction in Religion, Language Arts, Reading/Literature, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Health. Students also participate in weekly classes in Art, Music, Technology, Spanish, and Physical Education.
The Social Studies curriculum follows the theme "People Working Together" and is divided into four core strands: History, Geography, Government, and Economics. Students learn how individuals contribute to their communities, explore past and present occupations, and develop foundational civic skills. Through Religion, students learn that God calls us to work together, serve others, and be responsible members of our communities by living out Catholic values.
Classes are taught through a combination of homeroom (self-contained) and departmental instruction, providing students with a well-rounded and engaging learning experience.
